PASSING GRADE FOR SABINA PARK PITCH AFTER 1ST CPL MATCH

Both captains Chris Green and Rovman Powell gave great reviews of the Sabina Park pitch after their hotly contested battle.

Green, Tridents captain said, “Excellent cricket wicket, I think if that cricket wicket's here for the remainder of this Jamaican leg there's going to be some great matches and some entertainment, I think we saw 21 sixes tonight, and the crowd felt it I was fielding on the boundary.”

While Rovman Powell stated that, “I think often times as cricketers we give the groundsmen a hard time in the Caribbean.”

“You know, credit has to be given to them tonight, they provided a very good surface, an entertaining surface, you know fans come out to watch sixes, fours and those sorts of stuff and I think tonight the wicket was conducive to proper cricket. Hence, we got a very good game.”
