MISSION ACCOMPLISHED FOR JAMAICA LACROSSE

Jamaica booked their ticket to 2027 Men's Lacrosse World Championship in Tokyo, Japan after beating Puerto Rico.

Jamaica senior men's lacrosse team put on a convincing display to qualify for the 2027 Men's Lacrosse Championship beating Puerto Rico 13-6 in the Pan American Lacrosse championship at the Stadium East field in Kingston, Jamaica.

It was a winner takes all battle between the 8th ranked Jamaicans and 10th ranked Puerto Ricans. Jamaica's defense came out on top smothering the Puerto Ricans attack as goalkeeper Nate McPeak pulled out sixteen saves.

Hayden Hilts led Jamaica's attack with 4 goals along with Evan Stone who had 3 goals and an assist and Tanner Sims with 2 goals. Elias McLaughlin, Karl Robinson, and Dante Bowen were the other goal scorers as Jamaica secured their passage to a third World Championship. They join USA, Canada and Haudenosaunee as 4 of 5 qualifiers.

Puerto Rico and Mexico will do battle for the 5th and final spot, while Jamaica will take on Haudenosaunee in the bronze medal match on Sunday @11 am.

The gold medal match will put world number 1 ranked United States versus number 2 ranked Canada @2 pm
