JAMAICA BEATEN BY HONDURAS IN NATIONS LEAGUE ACTION

Jamaica senior Reggae Boyz hunt for Nations League success took a dent on Monday night after losing to Honduras by a goal to nil in group B, League A action inside the National Stadium. The defeat ended the Reggae Boyz 11-home win streak against the Hondurans.

Head coach Rudolph Speid made multiple changes to the starting eleven that beat Guatemala 3-2 in their first group game. The Reggae Boyz were dealt an early blow as match day one hero Renaldo Cephas who scored a stoppage time winner was forced to leave the game in the 12th minute with an injury.

The Boyz woes got worse three minutes later as Keyrol Figueroa latched on to a Jonathan Rubio pass to beat Andre Blake for the game's winner in the 15th minute.

Jamaica was handed a lifeline in the 68th minute when Honduras went down to 10-men after Dereck Moncada was sent off for a harsh challenge on Ronaldo Webster. They, however, could not make this advantage count as Honduras defended stoutly for the win.

Jamaica with the defeat slipped to 4th in the standings on goal difference. The Boyz will now travel away to face El Salvador on October 2nd and Honduras on Monday October 5th.
