Superstar goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard was named in Netball Jamaica's 15-member Sunshine Girls squad for the upcoming four (4) match Horizon Netball Series against England’s Vitality Roses after an almost three year absence.

Fowler-Nembhard last represented the Sunshine Girls at the 2023 World Cup due pregnancy and childbirth.

The West Coast Fever star will resume her leadership role alongside Adelaide Thunderbirds star defender Shamera Sterling-Humphrey as both were named co-captains.

The squad is completed by shooters Gezelle Allison, Azara Wilmot and Shanice Beckford. Defenders Latanya Wilson, Jodi-Ann Ward, Kadie-Ann Dehaney, and center court players Crystal Plummer, Nicole Dixon-Rochester, Abigale Sutherland and Brie Grierson. The non-travelling reserves are Rhea Dixon, Kimone Shaw and Adean Thomas

The series played in honor of netball icons Jamaica's Molly Rhone and England's Jean Hornsby will be played across two legs.

The copper box arena in London will host the November encounters on the 21st and 22nd.

The teams will then travel to Jamaica to close the series out at the National Indoor Sports Centre on December 5 and 6.

The series entering it's third year is currently locked at 1 a piece. Jamaica won the inaugural series 2-1 with a tied match. England took the 2025 edition 2-0 with the Jamaica leg canceled due to the passage of hurricane Melissa.

The Sunshine Girls will be looking to recapture the Rhone-Hornsby trophy and build on their impressive 2026 where they won silver at the Commonwealth Games. This series will also serve as one of the team's final level preparation for the 2027 World Cup in Sydney, Australia.
