Cricket West Indies announced the appointment of Andre Coley as interim head coach of the senior women's team. This comes after the expiration of Australian Shane Deitz contract last month.

Coley is not new to cricket West Indies set up having previously coached at ICC men's Under-19 World Cup in 2010 and the senior men's test and A team. Coley's first task as interim head coach will be the upcoming series against Pakistan.

Deitz spent three years in the head coach position where he guided Windies women to back to back T20 World Cup semifinals in 2023 and 2026.

Cricket West Indies said the transition was mutually agreed as Deitz seeks new opportunities. Deitz said, "I look back on a successful three years, and I want to thank the players, the staff, and Cricket West Indies for their support. I wish the team every success."
